The fashion for hand-made ethnic clothing and bags made his collection increasingly popular towards the end of the 1990s and the brand enjoyed considerable growth. Uttam clothing acquired a reputation for its vibrant colours, hand-stitched embroidery, and creative embellishments using beads, sequins and jewels, and became widely recognised for its eye-catching womenswear, childrenswear, and accessories with local, national, and international customers.
